Welcome to the Mencey De Taknara website.

We live on the island of Gran Canaria, Spain. Our passion for this wonderful breed began in 2006, when we purchased our first female dog, Sauka. We knew nothing about the breed, it was a caprice since we bought her on an impulse, we saw so beautiful that we could not resist buying her. After having her, we began reporting on the stand of the pedigree female dog and her attention,

It was the day to day what we were captivated, her grace, her intelligence, her first exhibition and, especially her affection for children, well our love for animals. After a year of living this experience comes our second bulldog, then the third and so on. We breed our dogs in Family, most of the time living at home with us.

We try to bring specimens up that fit the standard morphologically and have good genetics and movement. But the main thing in our bleeding program is the bulldog health so that the new owners can enjoy the dog as long as possible.

Finally, we thank our families for their support and help, our vets, Felipe, Ana y Carolina, (Flower and Fauna – La Amazonia) for sticking out our obsessions and for their professionalism, and our breeders friends for your advice and friendship.
